Obituary: Michael Howard Sanders

Michael Howard Sanders, 77, died at his home with his wife by his side in Dewey, Arizona on July 15, 2015. Michael was born July 27, 1937 to Frank and Lois (Huntington) Billia in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

After completing high school he enlisted in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged.

Michael had worked at many different trades when he

was young, so he was a "Jack of all trades." But the profession that made him come alive was poker. He was a professional poker player the majority of his life. Another passion he had was designing custom furniture, so Michael opened Cimmaron Wood Products where he designed custom furniture and kitchen cabinets. Michael also worked for a Property Management company as Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, overseeing 27 multi-family communities.

When not working, Michael's passions were drag racing, boating, building custom hot rods and taking road trips with his wife and friends.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie; two brothers; four children; one stepson from his marriage with Bonnie; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. We loved Michael; we will miss him every day.

A memorial service will be held later this month.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel. Please visit www.ruffnerwakelin.com to sign Michael's guestbook.
