Kay Ellen Ough peacefully passed at sunrise Jan. 28, 2015, in her home with Bill and Harley at her side. Kay was born June 4, 1952, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Russ and Betty Pedersen, the youngest of three daughters.

Kay fondly remembered her youth in western Nebraska. Kay married Bill in 1974, moved to Arizona in 1980 and settled in Chino Valley in 1989.

Kay will long be remembered by her family and many friends for her kind, giving nature, great sense of humor with always a joke to tell, and terrific cookies. Kay's love of life and her friendship will be eternally missed by her family and all who met her. She touched the hearts of many and made the world a much better place. She lived the philosophy of greatest life achievements are personal relationships.

Kay is survived by Bill, with whom she enjoyed 43 years after "love at first sight." Kay will be greatly missed by their son, Harley, his wife Amy and their four daughters, Alexis, Kassidi, Hallie and Shayla; as well as her sisters, Penny Hoover and Janet Boshart.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at the Chino Valley United Methodist Church, 735 E. Road One South. Wear purple for KO.

Her inurnment will be on a future date at the Prescott National Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona, where she will wait for Bill.

Donations to local charity and cancer groups would be appreciated.
