After almost nine years of serving the people of the quad-cities, Canyon Bible Church of Prescott Valley is launching a new church to serve folks who live in the Prescott area. Canyon Bible Church of Prescott meets at Miller Valley Elementary School, 900 W. Iron Springs Road, Sundays at 9 a.m., with a formal launch scheduled on Feb. 15. The church is a non-denominational, Bible-teaching ministry.

There is a children's ministry available for nursery through grade 5 with screened childcare workers. Parking lots for the services are located on the north side of the school, along Iron Springs Road, and the south side, across from True Value Hardware store on Whipple Street. Additional parking is available in the bus lanes and along the street.

Pastor Andrew Gutierrez, 37, will be the teaching pastor, having moved his family to Prescott from Southern California in December. He takes the role after serving on staff at Grace Community Church since 2007, where he was pastor over 400 students in the high school ministry.

"Ever since my wife and I met the people who were part of this new work in Prescott, we wanted in," Gutierrez said. "I'm eager to preach and shepherd this group of believers and anybody else who desires clear Biblical teaching."
