Three people were hospitalized when a sports utility vehicle hit two other vehicles in Prescott Valley Friday.
According to the Prescott Valley Police Department, a 79-year-old Prescott man was traveling westbound on State Route 69 at the intersection of Bradshaw Mountain Road. "He was driving his white SUV when the vehicle drifted left of center and struck two other vehicles that were stopped in the left-hand turn lane of eastbound State Route 69," said Officer Jeremy Whisenand.
"The SUV flipped during the collision and landed back on all four tires," he added.
Two drivers were transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center East in Prescott Valley and another was taken to YRMC West in Prescott, all with non-life-threatening injuries.
"The driver of the SUV did not show signs of impairment and it was possibly a medical issue," said Whisenand.
The officer interviewed the SUV driver, who "stated that he remembered passing the Chevron gas station in Humboldt and does not remember anything after that."
