The Arizona Legislature is putting a bill creating a new high school civics test on the fast track. Gov. Doug Ducey wants the bill to be the first to reach his desk, and the Senate and House education committees have set scheduled hearings for Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015. The bills require students to correctly answer 60 of 100 questions on the civics portion of the test required to become a U.S. citizen in order to graduate. Ducey said Monday that students just aren’t learning the basic civics they need to be good citizens. (AP Photo/Ross D. Franklin, File)
