PRESCOTT - Police are searching for a man they say robbed a convenience store with a gun on Monday, Feb. 23, at about 11 p.m., a Prescott police spokeswoman said.

Lt. Amy Bonney said the man walked into the store in the 400 block of South Montezuma Street, pulled a handgun, and demanded money from the cashier. He ran southwest from the store with the cash.

Bonney did not disclose how much money was taken.

The suspect is a man about 5-foot-5, who was wearing black shoes, light grey sweatpants, a light grey sweatshirt, black ski mask, black sunglasses, thick winter-style black gloves, and dark "ear bud" headphones.

Police could not get the age or ethnicity of the suspect from the clerk or surveillance photos.

Bonney said anyone with information on the case could call Prescott Police at 928-777-1900 or make an anonymous call that could lead to a reward by contacting Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
