Albert and Carol Daly Crook, both born in Boston, Massachusetts, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Jan. 8, 2016. In the 1950s, they were both in the military assigned to California. Carol was a physical therapist in the U.S. Army at The Presidio Hospital in San Francisco and Albert was in the USAF, assigned to the Air Defense Command at Hamilton Air Force Base.
Albert ran the airport and instructed people wanting to learn to fly at Novato, California, when Carol came in one day wanting to learn to fly. After, he flew with Carol on sea plane operations. They were married on Jan. 8, 1956. They had four sons, Stephen, Kevin, Mark and Kenneth. When planning where to move following retirement, Carol said, "No more 10 feet of snow or 60 below 0."
They moved to Prescott in 1991.
