The Prescott Sons of the American Revolution laid down a wreath at Prescott National Cemetery for National Wreaths Across America Day. There were 990 wreaths, said location leader Darren Driggs. Other groups who placed wreaths included Prescott National Memorial Ladies, the Yavapai Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and the Yavapai Arizona HOG Chapter.

All Americans have a special place in their heart for veterans, said mayor pro tem Jim Lamerson.

"I have a lot of veterans in my family and I know a lot of veterans who didn't come back form thsi war or that war," Lamerson said. "We appreciate you, we thank you, we honor you."
