UAF 'Superstar of the Week' - Alice
In my opinion, self-sufficiency is a highly under-rated quality in a cat. Take me, for example. My name is Alice, and I'm a playful, 2-year-old, grey and black tabby. But I don't need other cats to keep me entertained - no way! I am happy to frisk around by myself or bask in the adoring company of humans (kids too!). Actually, I'd rather be around people than other cats! United Animal Friends recently rescued me, as well as a litter of my kittens, from an uncertain fate. And since then, I've learned just how wonderful humans can be ... so wonderful, in fact, that I'm now in the market for one of my own! I'm spayed, vaccinated, and looking for a home where I can delight and entertain a person who appreciates me ... for me!
If you'd like to meet me (and I hope you do), I'm currently enjoying the accommodations at United Animal Friends' Kitty City at Petco in Prescott. Visiting hours are from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sundays through Fridays, as well as 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays. As the UAF Superstar of the Week, my adoption fee is just $20 to a UAF-approved home (I'm not sure how much that is, but it seems like a great deal!). If you have questions about me, you can call Ruth at 379-1088 or visit www.UnitedAnimalFriends.org.
UAF is always in need of foster homes for dogs and cats, as well as volunteers for its many programs. Interested animal lovers should contact UAF volunteer coordinator Jann at 602-402-7404 or firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like to foster a cat or dog, please call 778-2924. Donations for UAF's foster program can be sent to United Animal Friends, P.O. Box 11133, Prescott, AZ 86304 or can be made online at www.UnitedAnimalFriends.org. Contributions help with spaying/neutering, medical care and food for fostered pets.
