RESULTS: Oberg wins, PSPRS fails in Prescott election

PRESCOTT - In the preliminary results Tuesday night, Aug. 25, Harry Oberg leads Dan Fraijo 50.6 percent to 48.8 percent, respectively, in the mayoral race.

The other big item was Question 3, the PSPRS sales tax: 43.6 percent, YES; 56.3 percent, NO.

Other preliminary results include:

Question 1 (General Plan): 80 percent, YES; 19.9 percent, NO.

Question 2 (Streets sales tax): 57 percent, YES; 42.6 percent, NO.

Question 4 (Open Space sales tax): 42 percent, YES; 57.9 percent NO.

In the City Council race, the three ballot candidates - Jim Lamerson, Billie Orr and Steve Sischka - won their seats. Each garnered 27 to 33 percent of the votes.

Write-ins, which would have included official write-in Alan Dubiel, totaled 7.7 percent of the votes cast.
