Phoenix man arrested for weapons misconduct
PRESCOTT - A Phoenix man was arrested Wednesday, Aug. 12 after police said he brandished a gun near a home in the 700 block of Ruth Street, according to Prescott Police spokeswoman Lt. Amy Bonney.
Timothy Dugan, 50, "had gone to the residence to confront his daughter's boyfriend about a situation with his daughter," Bonney said. "During the confrontation, Dugan produced a .45 caliber handgun and pointed it at the male victim in an attempt to get him to provide additional information about his daughter."
He left after that, but an officer stopped him not far away.
No shots were fired.
Dugan admitted to the confrontation and had a gun in his possession, Bonney said.
He was booked into the Camp Verde jail on charges of reckless display of a firearm and two counts of DUI.
