Obituary: Stacey Wilson Newland
Stacey Wilson Newland, 57, of Prescott Valley, Arizona departed this life Saturday Aug. 1, 2015 in Prescott, Arizona. She was born Saturday, Aug. 10, 1957 to Charles and Jenna Lou Wilson in Santa Monica, California.
Born and raised in Southern California, Stacey was the life of the party. Your go-to for great conversation and all night support. She cherished her high school years and relished in the social events of drill team and Friday night games. She saw her dreams come true when she married the love of her life and brought two "miracle" babies into the world. She spent her best years thriving as a homemaker and will be remembered around the neighborhood as everyone's on-call Mom.
She was a warrior, who fought a lifelong battle with diabetes and in her later years, survived breast cancer, but struggled through heart disease, kidney failure and a multiple Myoloma diagnosis. After complications with a routine procedure, Stacey passed quickly and peacefully with her husband and two daughters by her side.
She is survived by her husband Greg; daughters Megan and Julianne; son-in-law Mike; and granddaughters Rory and Aeryn.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, Arizona. A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at the Oakwood Memorial Chapel, 22601 Lassen St., Chatsworth, California.
