Synergy of II: Nature inspired and Asian influenced
Pablo Picasso observed, "Art washes away, from the soul, the dust of everyday life."
Vibrant colors, energetic shapes, mesmerizing textures, innovative concepts and soul renewing innovation are in store for you at the Synergy of II exhibit.
Two of Prescott's most accomplished artists, Donna Carver and Patty Lindsey, are teaming up in an exhibit of painting, printmaking, multimedia and glass art that promises to push the limits are creative "wow" power.
Donna Carver was raised in New England and summered at Cape Cod where she developed a love and appreciation for the coastal waters and wavering shorelines of the mid-Atlantic coast. Donna shares that her creative soul has always been rejuvenated by the strength and energy of the coastal waters. The waves and tides have steadily lilted in and out of Donna's life nurturing her fascination with anchored boats, lazy rivers, graceful hillsides, and endless, meditative horizons, all are continually renewing themes in her work. Donna strives to capture "a moment in time" inspiring her viewers to visit their own treasured memories.
Patty Lindsey grew up on the West Coast as a self-described 'Navy Brat.' Her family traveled with the obligations of service life, as a consequence, Patty developed a fascination with the type of art she found in the various regions they visited. Each area nurtured its own unique form of art from blown glass, to painting, ceramics, and sculpture. Patty was especially attracted to glass. The vitality of color, its shimming revenues with light, and endless possibilities of form fascinated Patty appealing to her sense of adventure and intrigue. Today, constantly on the "creative move" Patty is mixing her fused art glass and metal sculpture together. Her joy in the journey is captured in her latest works.
