Obituary: James Ray Taylor
James Ray Taylor was born in Izzard County, Arkansas, to James Franklin and Minnie Mae (Vaughn) Taylor on June 22, 1927. He passed peacefully at his home in Prescott Valley, Arizona on April 21, 2015.
He married the love of his life Leola Holliman on Dec. 10, 1949 in Heber Springs, Arkansas. They moved to Ash Fork, Arizona in 1951, where he worked for Dunbar Stone until he retired in Prescott Valley 1997.
He was proceeded by his lovely wife of 64 years Leola Taylor, both parents, both brothers and one son-in-law Don Daily.
He is survived by daughters Kathy Gills, Carolyn Daily and Renita (Jeff) Donaldson; grandchildren Ruth Lee, Dorothy, Karen Roger, Tammy, Sandra, Micah and Michal; great grandchildren Chavon, Brian, Darrell, Leah, Vincentina, Kamarohn, Kyle, Scott, Sykorra, Malina and Anika; great-great grandchildren Natina, Dakota and Kyle Don. He also leaves behind some wonderful friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be today, April 24, 2015, from 10 to 11 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Friday April 24, 2015 at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, Arizona. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1051 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, Arizona.
