Motorcycle accident sends rider to hospital in serious condition
On Saturday, April 18 at 3:23 p.m., a single-vehicle (motorcycle) accident took place on the eastbound on-ramp to 89A from Glassford Hill Road.
According to Prescott Valley Police Sgt. Scott Stebbins, a 68-year-old Prescott Valley man attempted to pass another vehicle on the left as it merged onto 89A.
The motorcyclist ran off the left side of the roadway, lost control, and was ejected. He sustained serious injuries and was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix by Native Air Helicopter. The man was wearing a half-helmet and listed in stable condition as of 9 p.m. Saturday evening.
The crash remains under investigation by Prescott Valley Police Traffic Accident Investigators, who want to remind the public that wearing helmets saves lives!
