Gallery Guide: April 17

Arts Prescott Gallery on Whiskey Row, 134 S. Montezuma, 928-776-7717. Anne Legge is the Guest Artist of the Month, featuring multimedia creations from wood. The show will run until April 22.

Starting April 24, the Guest Artist of the Month will be Michael Wilson and his local landscape photography, with a reception from 6-8 p.m.

Bronzesmith Fine Art Gallery and Foundry, 7331 E. 2nd St., Prescott Valley, 928-772-2378. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Foundry tours are available by appointment at 11 a.m. on Thursdays for $10 per person.

The Gallery at the Prescott Center for the Arts, 208 Marina St., 928-445-3286, "Scholarship Exhibit" runs through April 26.

Phippen Museum, 4701 Highway 89 North, 928-778-1385, "Art & Heritage of the Cowboy Artists" runs through Aug. 16, featuring the history, artwork and paintings by the Cowboy Artists. "Happy Birthday, George! 100 Years of Inspiration" runs through July 19, featuring artwork of George Phippen and will explore Phippen's creative process.

Prescott Valley Art Guild, The Prescott Valley Art Guild's monthly meeting will be held Saturday, April 25 at Stepping Stones, located at 6179 East 2nd St., Meeting Room 1 in Prescott Valley. John Armstrong will speak on wood turning and using pieces as canvasses for paintings. The Paint-Along will be held after. The public is invited.

Smoki Museum, 147 N. Arizona Ave., 928-445-1230, "An Essential Relationship" exhibits professional and amateur archaeologists' contributions to knowledge and understanding of the past. The exhibit runs through May 26.

That New Gallery, 3250 Gateway Blvd. #1008, 928-445-0788, "That New Gallery, an Artists Co-Operative" continues art demonstrations every day this week: Monday and Thursday painting, Tuesday and Wednesday sculpting, and Friday Celtic knot carving. Our newest member, painter Judy Downs, has added new works of her beautiful wildlife artwork and other artists displays change weekly.

Yavapai College Art Gallery, Building 17, 1100 E. Sheldon St., 928-776-2031. the Spring 2015 Juried Student Art Show, featuring juried work by student artists in mediums such as ceramics, drawing painting, printmaking, sculpture, jewelry, watercolor, photography, woodworking and digital representations. The exhibition runs through May 16.
