Obituary: Pearl L. Jordan
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend, Pearl L. Jordan, age 94, passed away Dec. 24, 2014 near Price Utah.
Pearl was born Jan. 4, 1920 in Reynoldsville, Illinois to Willis and Tina Houseman. She married Vernard (Mickey) Jordan on Feb. 19, 1938 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. They moved to Utah in 1961 and then to the Prescott area in 1966. She was the Postmaster at Iron Springs for 17 years, retiring in 1984. She enjoyed her family, camping and hunting trips and participated in bowling leagues and tournaments. She was also active in the Lady Elks.
Pearl is survived by her children, Don L. (Belle) Jordan of Ava, Illinois, Terry L. (Betty) Jordan of Price, Utah, Joyce (Rogers) Johnston of Hurricane, Utah, Greg L. (Joann) Jordan of Prescott Valley, Arizona; one sister, Lillie Anne (Frank) Hovis of Grand Junction, Colorado; 10 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Larry B. Jordan and siblings, Floyd Houseman, Claude Houseman, Harold Houseman and Robert Houseman.
Memorial service will be at noon on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Freeman Building, 840 Rodeo Drive, Prescott, Arizona.
Interment will be with her husband at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
