Edna Louise "Lou" Brown

Edna Louise "Lou" Brown was born on Jan. 5, 1943, in Seligman, Ariz. She was the only child of Jasper and Mary Lydia Bishop and a stepsibling to Lillian Jackson, Jasper Bishop Jr., Clarence Shook and Jack Shook.

Louise was a longtime resident of Seligman, where she graduated from school and successfully ran the Copper Cart Restaurant for several decades. She worked for Seligman Unified School District for 10 years and also volunteered her time to the school board.

Louise is survived by her daughter Charlsa and spouse Kenneth Hanna, grandchildren Brian and his spouse Destony Hanna, and Eric Hanna, and great-grandchildren Skyley, Wyatt and Charlie; daughter Donna and spouse Danny Solberg; grandchildren Ashley and spouse Bobby Perez, and Carley and Daniel Solberg; and great-grandchildren including Haileigh and Dallas; daughter Dotty and spouse Darrin Osborne and granddaughter Jennifer Brown; daughter Sherri and spouse Mike James, grandchildren Chanelle, Tanner, Brent and Kyndra James, and great-grandchildren including Treighton, Arliegh and Ryleigh; son Donny and spouse Kris Brown, and grandchildren Brandon and Jordyn Brown.

Louise went home to Jesus on Aug. 27, 2014, at Huntsman Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

In honor of our beloved mother, we welcome friends and family, especially those in the community that she loved, Seligman, to join us in celebrating her life while honoring her in death. Services will be 2 p.m. Sept. 13, 2014, at Calvary Church, East Route 66, Seligman, AZ 86337, with potluck lunch to follow at Seligman School Cafeteria.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Serenity Funeral Home, in Utah. A guestbook is online at!/TributeWall, and the family hopes you will sign it. Flowers can be sent to Calvary Church or donations are encouraged through The American Cancer Society at A special thank you to Pastor Dan and his church for helping hold up our family during this difficult time. We also would like to thank all the friends and family members who have sent cards and been prayer warriors on our mom's behalf.
