Police arrest 2 in gas station robbery case; say clerk conspired with robber
PRESCOTT - Police on Friday arrested two suspects in connection with the robbery of the Woody's gas station, a police spokesman said, and an employee was one of them.
At about 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, a man went into the business in the 500 block of White Spar Road and demanded the clerk give him all the store's money, Prescott Police Lt. Ken Morley said.
"The man displayed a knife and handed the clerk a bag to put the money in," Morley said. "The suspect took the cash from the clerk and fled the scene on foot."
But police now believe the man with the knife was Quinn D. Palmer, 26, who is the boyfriend of the clerk, Patsy L. Cron, 41 - and that they planned to rip off the store together, Morley said.
Cron was charged with armed robbery, fraudulent schemes, and participating in a hoax.
Palmer was charged with armed robbery and several drug charges.
They are each being held in the Camp Verde jail on a $20,000 bond.
