Missing woman, 81, found OK

Update from the Prescott Valley police:

"Thanks to the assistance of the the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Team and an alert StoneRidge resident, the Prescott Valley Police Department is pleased to report that Betty J. Salters, the missing 81 year old female from StoneRidge was located at approximately 7:30 this morning.

"Search teams had worked through the night in attempts to locate Mrs. Salters who wandered away from her home early last night.

"Mrs. Salters was found about 100 yards off of Old Black Canyon Highway behind a maintenance yard wall in some high brush. She was alert and conscious when found and appeared to have suffered some minor injuries from a fall and possibly some hypothermia. Mrs. Salters was transported to YRMC in stable condition."

Prescott Valley police are asking for help locating a missing person.

Betty Salters, an 81-year-old female was last seen in the area of Lynx Wagon and Fenceline Drive in the StoneRidge neighborhood in Prescott Valley.

Police said Salters, who reportedly has severe dementia and has wandered off in the past, is possibly wearing a red blouse with unknown pants or a blue shirt with jeans and open sandals.

Anyone with information about Salters is asked to call 911 immediately.
