Ermal Williamson and Paula Erlene paid a surprise visit to the '50s Backseat Diner in Cordes Lakes on Thursday.

They perform in tribute acts to John Wayne and Patsy Cline. Williamson was John Wayne's body double for 29 years. Erlene is a world title holder for the fastest yodeler.

The duo will entertain at the Meals on Wheels Cookie Exchange held at Bensch Ranch Clubhouse across from the fire station on Highway 69.  The event is Sunday, Dec. 7, from 1 to 4 p.m.  Cookies to exchange are optional, as are donations to Meals on Wheels.
