PHS's National Honor Society and PUSD's Transportation Department team up

On Saturday, November 22 from 8am - 2pm, tri-city residents are invited to drop off canned food and non-perishable items for the Prescott High School's (PHS) 4th Annual National Honor Society (NHS) Community Food Drive. The students of NHS are joined by the Prescott Unified School District (PUSD) Transportation Department in an effort to collect food for those in need in our community including families from the entire tri-city area. The NHS Community Food Drive will serve as the kick-off to the PUSD Transportation Department's month long Coat and Food Drive taking place November 22 thru December 19th. Residents are encouraged to drop off canned foods and non-perishable items at Prescott High School's front parking lot, at the turn-around located at the school's main entrance between 8 am and 2 pm this Saturday, November 22nd. The food will be given to the Yavapai Food Bank for distribution to families throughout the tri-city area. The PUSD Transportation Department also encourages you to drop off new or gently used coats to benefit families in need throughout our community.

NHS is issuing a challenge to students in Prescott High School's APT classes. All this week, students from each class are invited to collect canned food and non-perishable items and drop them in the bins labeled for each APT class. These bins are located at the main entrance to Prescott High School. The APT class collecting the most food by percentage of class size at the end of this week will win a pizza party compliments of NHS. Please contact NHS Advisor, Ms. Debbie Fitzgerald, for more information regarding the NHS Community Food Drive at 445-2322 ext. 301 or visit the NHS website at .
