Chino Valley High School, in cooperation with Yavapai College and the Mountain Institute Joint Technical Education District (MIJTED), is offer tuition-free dual-enrollment classes for both high school and college credit. Tuition-free college credit classes such as biology, mathematics, and English are a great opportunity and value to both parents and students. Nothing prepares a high school student for college-level work more than an actual college class supported in the high school setting.

Chino Valley High School also has an outstanding Career Technical Education (CTE) program. CVHS has the highest percentage of student participation of any high school in Arizona. CTE and MIJTED offer courses in a wide variety of career fields such as bio-technology, culinary arts, welding, pre-engineering, robotics, medical professions, agribusiness, and automotive technology, just to name a few. These excellent classes are offered on the CVHS campus, the MIJTED campus near Prescott airport, and at Yavapai College.

The CVHS counseling department, led by Ivette D'Angelo, will help parents and students develop an educational plan to get the most from the CVHS experience. The counselors are available in the Cougar Center on the CVHS campus. Call 636-2298 for an appointment.

The teachers and staff at Chino Valley High School are working hard to develop students who, when they graduate, will truly be college- and career-ready. The CVHS staff aims to prepare students for any path they choose to follow after high school graduation.
