Free Parkinson support group seminar is Nov. 15
Prescott Parkinson Support Group in partnership with the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center, Phoenix presents Northern Arizona Parkinson's Conference from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Adult Center of Prescott, 1280 E. Rosser St. This is a free patient and family educational seminar starting with an update of the causes of Parkinson's disease by local Neurologist Douglas Shepard MD; and a review of current and up-coming Parkinson's medications, by Movement Disorder Specialist Virgilio Evidente, MD; followed by neurosurgical options for PD patients, offered by Neurosurgeon Francisco Ponce MD leading to New PD Exercise Moves & How Exercise Fits In by Valerie Carter PT DPT followed by Parkinson's and Hospitalizations by Darolyn O'Donnell MS, winding up with Susan Connor, PT, on PD Therapy and Resources at YRMC West and East.
