Mildred Barbara Burton (Raab)

Mildred Barbara Burton (Raab) of Prescott, Ariz., died on April 27, 2014. "Millie" was born the oldest of 11 children of John Peter Raab and Lula Otillia Raab (Christ) on March 28, 1923, in Baltimore, Md.

She was married to Lawrence Burton for more than 30 years and is survived by her four children, Ann Yoell (Trevor), Carol Burton and Larry Burton (Lauri), all of Prescott, and Regina Stevens (Stanley) of Lexington, Tenn. She leaves eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her 10 siblings, Angela Kahl, James Raab, Louise Laudenklos, Edwin Raab, Doris Koegel, Martha Raab, Alice Comes, Peter Raab, Helen Woodward and Thomas Raab, all of Maryland.

Mildred was very active in many community activities including the Hiking Club, senior dances and senior trips to Alaska, Mexico, Europe and Hawaii, and loved music and dancing. She knew many people from her working life at Sprouse Rietz, Penningtons, Solts and Babbitts. Millie spent her later years with many old friends at the Arizona Pioneers Home. She loved the staff at the Pioneers Home for the wonderful loving care they gave to her. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

On a Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Sacred Heart Church there will be a Rosary at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with reception afterward.

Mildred requested, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Catholic Charities, Arizona Pioneers Home or Good Samaritan Society - Hospice.
