Evelyn "Maggie" Sullivan died Monday, May 5, 2014, at her home in Prescott, Ariz. She was born Nov. 2, 1923, in Watts, Calif., the daughter of John and Martha (Boyski) Smith. Evelyn was 90 years old.

She married the love of her life, Daniel Sullivan, on July 18, 1945, enjoying 68 years of marriage. Along with being a wife and mother, Maggie worked as an administrative secretary for the Edison utility company in California.

She enjoyed gardening - her neighbors always enjoyed the roses and irises that Maggie grew - and loved to travel throughout Europe; England and Ireland were her favorite. Maggie was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a Docent at the Fine Arts.

Maggie is survived by her husband, Daniel Sullivan; son Timothy James (Doreen) Sullivan of West Covina, Calif.; daughter-in-law Gigi Smith; brother Leslie Smith of California; and grandchildren John and Jennifer. She is preceded in death by her son, John, who died in 1995, and her sister, Helen Rose Baronwski.

Services for Maggie will include a visitation starting at 5 p.m., followed by a rosary at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St. in Prescott. Funeral mass at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury St., Prescott, followed by the committal is at 1:30 p.m., at Heritage Memorial Park cemetery in Dewey.
