For one night only, the Silver Screen returns to Prescott for the Coalition for Compassion and Justice's annual Silver Screen Gala this Saturday.
The evening will include the music and memories of this classic Hollywood era at the Prescott Resort and will support CCJ's work in alleviating poverty in our community.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. with a no-host bar and a peek at the items on the vast silent auction. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. with music by the Sonoran Swing 20-piece big band.
The program begins at 6 p.m, followed immediately by a 30-item live auction and dinner. Then guests can continue to dance and enjoy music, including many songs from film blockbusters throughout the years, until the event ends at 9 p.m.
Auction items include tickets to fine arts and sporting events, personalized tours and dinners, hotel stay packages throughout the Southwest and more. A variety of baskets, donated jewelry and gift certificates and more comprise the extensive silent auction.
"CCJ's gala is a celebration and benefit," said Executive Director Gail Kenny. "It is a celebration of the work we accomplish every day to assist people to move out of difficult situations into self-sufficiency. It is the organization's biggest annual event, a chance for the community to help us to continue and grow our work."
Tickets are $75 each or $675 for a table for 10. 10 for $675. Advance reservations are required.
