Rosalie Pasqua (Latargia)

Rosalie Pasqua (Latargia), 86, of Prescott, Ariz., went peacefully to be with Jesus on June 5, 2014, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 30, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Jack and Rose (Delavore) Latargia.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (David) Wilson and Tammy (Alan) Sotzin; four grandchildren, Jeffrey (Liz) Wilson, Christy (Caleb) Patee, Danae Sotzin and Paul Sotzin; and two great-grandchildren, Griffin Thomas Pasqua Wilson and Levi Josiah Patee.

She was preceded in death by her son, Peter Pasqua; her brother, Mel, both in 1978; and her parents.

In 1948, she married Thomas Pasqua in Brooklyn, N.Y. In 1952, they moved to California, where they raised three children. They lived in Simi Valley, where she worked as a real estate agent.

"Rosie," as she was affectionately known, moved to Prescott in 1996 to be near her two daughters and grandchildren. She loved playing card games with her family and spending time with them. Her family was the light of her life, and she devoted her whole heart to them. This was very evident to everyone around her.

She also enjoyed playing Mah-Jongg, pinochle and bingo. Singing and dancing were a big part of her life as well. She sang with the Geritol Hipsters around Prescott at different events for several years. She was also involved in her church and loved by the people. Rosie was so full of life! She made friends wherever she went and had many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial of her life will be 2 p.m. Aug. 2, 2014, at the Prescott First Church of the Nazarene.

Memorial donations can be made to Prescott First Church of the Nazarene.
