Obituary: Dorothy May Stuart
Dorothy May Stuart (Matli), 83, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away peacefully on May 26, 2014, at her Williamson Valley home, surrounded by family and friends. She was born Oct. 4, 1930, in Prescott, Ariz., to Joseph and Dorothy Matli.
Dorothy May was an accomplished violinist and lived a life of service through her nursing career and devotion to family. She worked many years with Doctor's McNally and Inscore at the Yavapai Medical Center, before retiring in 1995.
Dorothy is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Calvin; beloved brother Joseph Matli (Janet) of Prescott; daughters Linda Dowden (Brad) of Queen Creek, Ariz., and Rhonda Thacker (Don) of Arlington, Va.; son Tom Stuart (Vickie) of Paulden, Ariz.; niece Cheryl Matli; and nephew Jerry Matli; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A public memorial service celebrating Dorothy's life will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2014, in the garden at the home of dear friend, Cecilia Pemberton, 1640 Arrowhead Drive, Prescott.
