Residents enjoy high tea at the Arizona Pioneers Home
The Monday Club, Inc., recently had its annual High Tea at the Prescott Pioneer Home, at which club members served a variety of cookies, brownies and mini creampuffs, along with an assortment of teas - raspberry being their favorite.
Pictured are the residents of the home seated in the large ballroom, dressed in their finery and wearing fancy hats. In the background is Lynn McDougal, at the microphone, taking the residents on an oral tour of the Prescott Sharlot Hall Museum. A schematic brochure of the museum allowed them to follow along on the tour.
McDougal, newly elected club president, Sharlot Hall Museum volunteer tour guide and "Shady Ladies" member, guided the residents through the museum - building by building, room by room - and filled in with legendary stories along the way
The tea and informative tour was timely in view of Prescott's Sesquicentennial.
