Donate school supplies to kids in need at Yavapai Food Bank

School will be starting soon, and when families can't afford to buy food, they can't afford many of the other day-to-day things many of us take for granted. Needed right now are school supplies for those little ones starting back to school the end of this month.

When you're in the store and you see some of the following items on sale, pick up something to donate for this very worthy cause: Sturdy pocket folders, single subject notebooks, 3 or 5 subject notebooks (with pocket dividers), composition notebooks, wide/college-ruled paper, graph paper, 1.5" and 3" binders, divider tabs (8 set/5 set), #2 pencils (10-1/2 count), jumbo pencils, mechanical pencils, pink erasers (large), pencil sharpeners with lid, pencil boxes (plastic), pencil pouches, red ink pens, 24-count crayons, 8-count jumbo crayons, colored pencils, 8-count watercolor set, 8-count washable markers, fine-tip slim markers, highlighters, glue sticks (disappearing purple), bottle of white glue, scissors (blunt tip/plastic handles), Scotch-brand tape, flexible ruler, 3x5 and 4x6 index cards, and backpacks (no wheels).

School supplies or other donations may be dropped off at Yavapai County Food Bank, 8866 E. Long Mesa Drive, Prescott Valley, or call 775-5255 for the location nearest you in Prescott or Prescott Valley.
