Super-extreme DUI and 8 other offenders arrested over July 4 weekend
PRESCOTT - A multi-agency police task force arrested nine drivers on DUI charges around the tri-city area during saturation patrols on July 5, a Prescott Police spokesman said.
Officers made 176 traffic stops, and out of the nine drivers arrested, one was charged with super-extreme DUI after he was found driving with a BAC of .221, nearly three times the legal limit, Lt. Ken Morley said.
Fifteen officers from Prescott Police, Prescott Valley Police, the Sheriff's Office and DPS participated in the DUI Task Force detail, Morley said.
He added that officers also contacted 10 sober designated drivers.
Funding for the detail was provided by the Governor's Office of Highway Safety.
