Dispelling rumors about Target, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, Chipotle and Goodwill
This past week we brought you businesses that are coming to the tri-city area, such as Walmart opening in Prescott Valley. This week, to dispel rumors, let's start with those that are not coming.
Some people have been predicting or hearing that certain businesses are looking to move to or open in Prescott Valley and, according to town Economic Development Manager Greg Fister, a lot of that still is just talk.
For example, here is what we know:
Target, located in the Frontier Village Shopping Center near Prescott, will not be coming to Prescott Valley with a Super Target. Fister says Target has renewed its lease with the Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe, which owns and runs Frontier Village.
Dunkin Donuts has expressed interest in coming to the area, and is seeking a franchisee.
Starbucks and Chipotle, owners of which like to locate near each other - such as in Prescott in the Depot Marketplace/Albertson's area - were thinking about also opening shops in Prescott Valley, but have apparently changed their minds for the time being.
Goodwill will be opening a location near Safeway and Kmart in Prescott Valley.
Culver's restaurant, known for its "Butter Burgers," will open its doors for business Monday, Jan. 27. It is located at the intersection of Stoneridge and Highway 69.
National Bank of Arizona, which we told you about last week, will be ready for deposits and everything else tentatively in June. Its Iron Springs Road branch is moving to the corner of Gail Gardner and Willow Creek Road (in front of where Natural Grocer's is located). For information, contact Linsey at 708-6917.
