This letter is addressed to all Prescott dog owners who cannot control their dogs on a leash. Please do not take your dogs to public parks and trails. Recently while hiking the Peavine Trail, my dog was attacked by two leashed but uncontrolled Rottweilers. To make matters worse, they knocked over my husband who was at the park exercising his new hip that was replaced a month ago. After their owners continued to walk along the trail, I was checking my dog to make certain she was okay when the dog owner yelled sarcastically "Oh, there's nothing wrong with your dog." Please be a responsible pet owner and do the right thing.
