Town seeks applicants for boards and commissions
The Town of Prescott Valley seeks volunteers to fill seats on several boards and commissions. Put your expertise to work in ways that will positively impact the community for years to come.
Residents may apply to serve on the Arts and Culture Commission, which serves in an advisory capacity to the Town Council on matters pertaining to the visual and performing arts and culture within Prescott Valley. This volunteer position requires some experience and knowledge of the arts and culture. First priority for membership goes to those who live and reside within the town limits; however, non-residents who are uniquely qualified may be appointed.
The Building Board of Appeals applicants must live and reside within the Prescott Valley town limits. The board meets to review and decide appeals of town building staff decisions, and applicants should have backgrounds in building, mechanical, plumbing and electrical trades.
Residents may apply to serve on the Board of Directors of the Municipal Property Corporation (MPC), which facilitates financing of selected capital projects for the Town. Related experience is desirable; preference goes to applicants who reside within the town limits.
Volunteers are needed to serve on the Planning & Zoning Commission, which provides advisory support on land use matters and makes recommendations to the Council on all land use changes, subdivisions and comprehensive plan proposals. This position requires some knowledge of and experience with land use planning, and applicants must reside within town limits.
Applications are available from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Town Manager's Office on the fourth floor of the Civic Center, 7501 E. Civic Circle. Applications are accepted until the position is filled.
