9 arrested by New Year's Eve DUI Task Force
PRESCOTT - Officers from around the tri-city area participating in a New Year's Eve effort to stop drunk drivers arrested nine people on Dec. 31.
Nearly 30 officers and sheriff's deputies formed the DUI Task Force, Prescott Police Lt. Ken Morley said.
They made 295 traffic stops, according to Morley. Of the nine arrests, three were for DUI-drugs and three others were drivers charged with extreme DUI, having a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of more than .150 but less than .200.
"The average BAC of the six arrested for DUI-alcohol was .130," Morley said. The legal limit for driving is .08.
