Obituary: Billie "Bill" Dean Sink
Billie "Bill" Dean Sink, 85, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at St. Josephs Hospital after his valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.
Bill was born Dec. 18, 1928, in Eakly, Okla., to Clarence and Edna Sink.
Bill was a beloved husband and father, as well as a decorated veteran who bravely served in the United States Navy as an explosive ordnance disposal technician, including tours of duty in WWII, Korea and Vietnam, where he earned several medals, including the Purple Heart and several Bronze Stars.
He is survived by his wife Karen; sons Eugene and Charles; stepson Justin Morrow; granddaughter Christina Bergez; and great-grandchildren Shania and Anthony Bergez.
Bill was loved and respected by all he met, and will always be remembered as an honest, caring man and a true patriot.
Friends are encouraged to join us in celebrating his life 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014. A memorial service with Honor Guard will be at the American Legion Post 40 in Chino Valley, 650 E. Road 3 South, Chino Valley, AZ 86323; 928-636-2020.
