Burnie and a couple of his Sundog team mates joined the Bigs and Littles at the Fun Bowl at Antelope Lanes, kicking off the 2014 Bowl for Kids' Sake.

Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters biggest annual fundraiser, Bowl for Kids' Sake, kicked off with the Fun Bowl for Bigs and Littles Jan. 25. "Every year we have great community support from our local businesses, community groups and individuals having fun bowling while helping us reach our fundraising goals," commented Kathleen Murphy, YBBBS president and CEO.

"Team captains can pick up their bowling packets at our offices, or call 928-778-5135 and we can arrange to deliver them, or register on line at azbigs.org/bowl," added Murphy. Each team captain is asked to recruit five or six bowlers, and each of the bowlers get pledges, totaling a minimum of $125 each. This year all registration and pledging can be done online at azbigs.org/bowl. Bowling is at Antelope Lanes and Plaza Bowl March 1, 2, 8 and 9 in the Quad Cities, and March 7, 8 and 9 at Cliff Castle Casino in the Verde Valley.

This year there are some fun theme bowls, like the PJ's bowl, the 80s Disco bowl, the Wild West bowl and others. "We have over 200 children waiting to be matched with a Big Brother, Sister, Couple or Family, so please get your teams, bowlers and pledges together and Bowl for Kids' Sake," Murphy added.

For more information on how you can put a team together visit azbigs.org/bowl or call 778-5135.
