Obituary: Darrell "Dino" Thomas DeNino

Darrell "Dino" Thomas DeNino, 79, passed away Dec. 28, 2014. He was born Aug. 18, 1935, in Apollo, Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary; three daughters, Terri Kennedy of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Lori (Jim) Stevenson of El Cajon, California, and Lisa (Tim) Martindale of Grand Junction, Colorado; brother Jerry DeNino of Prescott Valley; sisters Gale (Tony) Trinqhese of Gluffton, South Carolina, and Marcia DeNino of Las Vegas, Nevada; four grandchildren, Holly, Jennifer, TJ and Tommy; and four great-grandchildren, Ryann, Benjamin, Bradley and Bryce.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ethel (Barclay) DeNino of Austin Town, Ohio.

Dino served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years where he met and married his wife, who was also a member of the U.S. Navy. After retiring from the Navy, he worked 16 years as a manager-owner of Loves Wood-Pit Barbecue Restaurant in San Diego, California. Leaving the restaurant business, they came to Prescott Valley in 1994, where he took up golf at the Quailwood Greens Golf Course where he was a member of the Men's Club. He also worked part-time in their Pro Shop. He never missed watching his beloved Pittsburg Steelers on TV and followed their stats faithfully.

He will be sorely missed by all his family and friends.
