SEDONA - The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Northern Arizona premieres of the acclaimed new award-winning independent films "Listen Up Philip" and "Art and Craft" - which was just shortlisted for the Academy Award for Best Documentary - showing Dec. 19-23 at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

A complex, intimate, and highly idiosyncratic comedy, "Listen Up Philip" is a literary look at the triumph of reality over the human spirit.

Anger rages in Philip (Jason Schwartzman) as he awaits the publication of his sure-to-succeed second novel. He feels pushed out of his adopted home city by the constant crowds and noise, a deteriorating relationship with his photographer girlfriend Ashley (Elisabeth Moss), and his own indifference to promoting the novel. When Philip's idol Ike Zimmerman (Jonathan Pryce) offers his isolated summer home as a refuge, he finally gets the peace and quiet to focus on his favorite subject-himself.

"Listen Up Philip" will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre Dec. 19-23. Showtimes will be 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 19-20; and 7 p.m. on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 21-23.

"Art and Craft" was just shortlisted for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Film. It is one of 15 films vying for the five nominations and, potentially, the big win!
