Wreaths Across America in Prescott

PRESCOTT - Gold Star Mother Jasmine Crowl, above photo, touches the niche that houses her son's remains before placing a wreath by it Saturday morning during the Wreaths Across America event at the Prescott National Cemetery. Crowl's son, Cornell Chao, was an Apache Helicopter pilot who served his country for over 18 years and was killed in action on Jan. 28, 2007, in Iraq. Blue Star Mother Doreen Berggren, below, lays a wreath at the monument to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Saturday during the event. More than 900 wreaths were laid at the cemetery this year, paid for through donations from community members and organizations.
