ERAU soccer produces 12 scholar-athletes
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University students continue to prove successful both in the classroom and on the field, with student-athletes from the women's and men's soccer teams recognized as NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) Scholar-Athletes, for carrying a 3.5 or higher GPA.
On the women's team, the seven scholar-athletes (and their majors), in order are Savannah Garn, Aeronautical Science; Kalyn Goodenough, Engineering; Sidney Jones, Electrical Engineering; Kacey McConagha, Global Security & Intelligence Studies; Kelsey Merrigan, Engineering; Karen Murphy, Mechanical Engineering; and Brenna Quinn, Global Security & Intelligence Studies.
The five scholar-athletes on the men's team (and their majors), in order are Alex Elden, Aeronautical Science; Ryan Holt, Global Security & Intelligence Studies; Tristan Korras, Aerospace Engineering; Fabio Pena, Aviation Business Administration; and Isaac Sanchez, Aviation Business Administration.
"Our coaching staff has been able to continue to recruit the right type of student athlete that will find success in the academic and athletic arena," Prescott Campus Athletic Director Ted Blake said in a news release.
