PV Festival of Lights, parade kick off holiday season
Get out your Santa hat, put on some warm boots, bundle up and ring in the Christmas and holiday season at the Prescott Valley Holiday Festival of Lights today, Friday, Dec. 5.
The festivities will begin at 4:45 p.m. on the upper court of the Civic Center. The night's program will include holiday music from the Coyote Spring Choir followed by the Liberty Chamber Singers, the Mayor's Christmas message, "The Night Before Christmas" children's story time. and other special entertainment. Join in some Christmas carols and watch as the town lights up the Civic Center and trees.
At 6 p.m., the "Night Light Parade" will begin. This year's parade will be routed from Main Street at the Prescott Valley Event Center around the Civic Center and back and includes a variety of float entries lit with millions of lights.
Following the parade, Santa will be in the library auditorium to visit with children and take pictures.
Local nonprofits and businesses have put together some inspired entries for the Create a Tree display, on view in the Prescott Valley Library.
After the festival, continue your celebration and visit the Valley of Lights drive-through display at Fain Park.
