Jim and Doris Inman, high school sweethearts, were married on Aug. 6, 1944, in San Bernardino, Calif., while Jim was on a short furlough from the Army. Their 70th wedding anniversary and the love they share were celebrated in December with a gathering of family and friends. All of the family was present, the oldest grandson coming from as far as Australia to help celebrate the love and life of this couple. Jim and Doris' family includes three daughters, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. They are both fourth-generation Californians and lived in San Bernardino until Jim retired in 1980 when they moved to Sedona. They have lived in Prescott since 2002.
