Letter: Civility proponent must walk the talk
This letter is in response to Buz Williams's column titled "Disagree, but please be civil." Mr. Williams, you stated that your friend Lou thinks you are wrong most of the time but he's wrong about that. Which basically says, you are right and he's wrong. Isn't that exactly the problem with our US Congress? Isn't it possible, Mr. Williams, that you and Lou are both right sometimes and both wrong sometimes?
Then you launched into an attack against "the radical left." Mr. Williams, do you have your eyes and ears closed? The radical and not-so-radical right have blatantly and mercilessly attacked President Obama, duly elected twice, on a daily basis with the ugliest of words, pictures, emails etc. Never-ending character assassination.
Mr. Williams, people who live in glass houses should not throw stones. And people who profess to be Christians, right or left, should strive everyday to be "Christ like." That is what the bible mandates.
Yes, Mr. Williams, I agree: Disagree, but keep it civil. Maybe you can tell me when the conservative right will start?
