Obituary: John "Jack" Frederick Lovell

Jack was born in Monticello, N.Y., on May 22, 1928. He passed from this life on April 5, 2014, at Family Home Hospice, Prescott, Ariz. His family is grateful for the time they were able to spend with him, reminiscing and enjoying him in the week prior to his death.

He moved to Arizona from Colorado 25 years ago after retiring as a regional VP for USAIG. Jack became involved in real estate in the Phoenix/Sun Lakes, starting the San Tan Century 21 office. After he moved to Prescott, he was an agent for Crystal Creek Realty.

Jack was preceded in death by his daughter Terri Jo; his parents Malvern and Lucretia Lovell; his sister Claire Ward and her husband Chuck; and wife Evelyn "Nomer" Lovell.

He is survived by his longtime companion Marilyn Day; his brother Joe Lovell and wife Norma; his son Craig and wife Connie; daughters Jacqueline Thornton and husband Dale, and Valerie Elsea and husband Greg; stepson Dennis Nebera and wife Ileana; grandchildren Amanda, Brad, Kara, Meghan, Charlene and Jillian; and two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Alyssa.

In lieu of flowers, Jack has requested memorial gifts to the American Kidney Foundation or Family Home Hospice, Prescott.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2014, at Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley St., Prescott, Ariz.
