COTTONWOOD - World-renowned guitarist Anthony Mazzella appears at Old Town Center for the Arts for a special 'encore' performance on Saturday, April 12 at 7 p.m.
Following his five previous sellouts at OTCA Anthony returns to dazzle concertgoers with his deft defying abilities on acoustic and electric guitars. "I think some of Anthony's fans might think this is a déjà vu," OTCA's co-Director William Eaton remarked. "His 'encore' concert was rescheduled, due to illness. Fortunately, almost all of the ticket holders are on board for the April 12 concert, and we can accommodate more folks who weren't able to see his February concert. His tribute to the great rock guitar icons is a must see."
Mazzella will feature his electric fingerstyle interpretations of famous 'guitar' rock covers from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, U2, Hendrix, Van Halen, Santana, Clapton, and others. Anthony will bring a stage full of guitars, each providing a distinct tone and timbre that captures the unique sonic signature of the well known rock classics he performs. He'll also play acoustic steel string and classical guitar songs, including songs from 'Heavenly Guitar.'
Mazzella is one of the most virtuosic and passionate guitar players in the world today. His performance career began in New York at Manhattan's Café Wah, Birdland, CBGB's and the famous Blue Note, and he has spent years touring the United States and world stages as a soloist and as the concert guitarist for world music master Omar Faruk Tekbilek.
Tickets for Anthony Mazzella are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets are available online at www.showtix4u.com, in Cottonwood at Desert Dancer and Mount Hope Natural Foods; and in Sedona at Crystal Magic. Any tickets already purchased for the March 20 concert are valid for Saturday's event. Old Town Center for the Arts is located at 633 N. 5th Street (5th Street & Main) in Old Town Cottonwood.
