Warming Up Prescott is both the name and the goal of the knitting and crocheting group at Prescott United Methodist Church. All the yarn is supplied and new members are invited to join at any time. Lessons in crochet, loom or needle knitting are available. The group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month in the Upper Room (307) of the church at 505 W. Gurley. Their next meeting is 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26. So far this year, members have produced 325 warm caps and scarves that will be donated to local people in need this winter.
