Annual Arcosanti concert features renowned pianist
Arcosanti invites music lovers to enjoy the 32nd Annual Colly Soleri Concert featuring renowned pianist Sonya Kumiko Lee. The performance marks Lee's twelfth appearance on the Arcosanti stage.
Lee's show will be preceeded by a wine and cheese reception, followed by dinner in the Arcosanti vaults. This year's concert is part of "Celebrate Paolo Soleri," a weekend of events commemorating the life and work of the artist, architect and Arcosanti founder, who died in April. A film tribute to Soleri will be shown at the conclusion of the evening.
The annual Colly concerts at Arcosanti honor the memory of Corolyn "Colly" Woods Soleri, beloved wife of Paolo Soleri and co-founder with her husband of the Cosanti Foundation, including Arcosanti. Colly was an avid supporter of arts and culture during her lifetime, and her legacy is continued through the Colly Soleri Music Center, which brings an annual calendar of excellent musical, theatrical and cultural events to the high desert.
The 32nd Annual Colly Soleri Concert and Dinner featuring Sonya Kumiko Lee will take place at 5:30 - 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Arcosanti. Tickets for dinner and the show are $40 per person, $20 for children 12 and under. The wine and cheese reception begins at 5:30 p.m., with the concert at 6:15 in the amphitheater. Dinner in the vaults is at 7:30 p.m., followed by the film tribute to Paolo Soleri.
