Next best thing to baby manual found online

Parents of young children who have not bookmarked www.azftf.gov on their computers are missing an opportunity to have a wealth of resources at their fingertips. No, babies don't "come with a manual;" however, this website can fill in the gaps when the answers are not intuitive. Here are some examples of what you frazzled, sleep-deprived parents may be able to pull up and read at those odd hours of day or night:

• A link to the immunization schedule for children under age 6 as published by the American Academy of Pediatrics

• Childcare referral and resource information

• Tips and tools for challenging behavior for kids zero to 3

• A guide for how to prepare for day one of kindergarten

• Suggestions for addressing childhood obesity through the Let's Move initiative

• Tips to keep your kids safe from preventable injuries, via the Safe Kids program

• An opportunity to sign up for free texts on prenatal care, baby health, parenting and more

• Guidelines on child safety seats and how to ensure your child is traveling safely

It may not be a manual with your child's name on it, but the Arizona First Things First website may the next best thing for Prescott-area parents.
